This project began when i was lost for a direction with my previous project. By chance this idea was triggered by conversations with boastful friends about their obsession with a particular object - that was the pinnacle moment that inspired this project. So i started to find people who were starting to collect certain objects/items. They are not extreme cases of obsessions but could be on the verge of being something big in the next couple of years.. I wanted to make a piece of art out of their obsessions and it had to be clean and neutral. After a couple of shoots it became apparent that many were very theatrical, an air of grace, a performance based style and therefore more entertaining than the supposedly mundane shoots with people in normal situations with average collections.
